Staff Bios

Scott Birnbaum – President
Founded Reclaimed Textiles Co. in 1994. Scott is a former CPA who graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. In addition to the eighteen years Scott has spent in the textile recycling industry he has experience in the trucking, truck manufacturing, defense manufacturing, farm equipment manufacturing, metals forging and newspaper industries. Scott has founded several other companies since 1994.

Mike Courtney – Vice President
Born and raised on Long Island, NY, relocated to TX in 1976. Upon receiving a BS in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas, Houston TX, began a 28 year career in the paint industry with a focus on Store Operations, Customer Service and Purchasing Management. Has extensive knowledge of the textile industry and has been with Reclaimed Textiles Co. for over 1 year. Outside interests include but not limited to cooking, sports of all kinds, golf and spending quality time with family and friends.

Doug Williams – Sales Representative
Born and raised in Montreal Quebec Canada. Doug has been a resident of the Salt Lake City vicinity for over 40 years. After attending Sir George University began a professional career as a manufacturer’s rep in the Mountain portion of the US. Doug has been in the Textile Industry for over 25 years. Outside of Doug’s professional career, his interests are music, reading, gardening and volunteer work.

Matt Kersting – Sales Representative
Matt has been a resident of Dallas TX for over 30 years. Upon receiving an MBA in Marketing, Matt began his professional career in sales and has over 30 years of selling experience. Matt has successful in the textile industry for 8 years plus.

Jason Rosson – Sales Representative
Born and raised in the Dallas TX area, Jason began 8 plus year professional career in the paint industry upon graduation from high school and two years of community college. Jason has been with Reclaimed Textiles Co. for 1 year.
